Dance Progress in a Year!

I'd like to share a true story about a lovely, high energy,  busy professional that solidified the fact that Rungo Dance Fit works.

One of my students brought her as a guest to a Rungo Dance Fit class.  She really liked it and started taking 2 to 3 Rungo Dance Fit  classes per week. Her family and professional life were both very demanding and she loved the stress relief dancing gave her. Eventually she joined the dance team where we rehearsed weekly. She had never experienced any formal ballroom dance lessons but had been exposed to jazz and modern in her youth. She was very athletic and had a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Her Latin blood would always surface when the  music was rhythmically challenging or unfamiliar to her. No matter what song or dance I played she would prevail.  She was certainly no stranger to the dance floor!

Nine months or so into our quest, like all good students who over achieve,  she wanted me to assess her progress.  I took a good look, watched her every move and realized she had achieved leaps and bounds of progress. The point of the story is PROGRESS. After one year of her diligent attendance and aggressive application of techniques  and skills,  she had arrived. Her base knowledge of all the rhythms had tremendously improved, she knew all the basic foot work.  Her connection to the floor had improved.  Her personal posture and core engagement had developed and she was emoting nicely. She danced with confidence and pride.  She was dancing as if she had been taking private lessons all that time.

This very busy lady had dedicated herself to maintaining her classes for an entire year and it paid off. Rungo Dance Fit will indeed teach you the basics of dance and increase your base knowledge of rhythms and steps.  She is an inspirational dancer....... Now ......how do we get the husbands to dance?

Corinne Rungo - Thank you for your comment. It's interesting that you mention "mood". A good mood is my goal: it feels so heavy and sad to be in poor mood. You are doing so well and I am honored to lead you down this path.

Mike Hogan - I have to admit I was not sure of what I was getting into. At first I was very self conscious about looking silly but Corrine has a way to bring out the best in people. She also cracks me up. What a great instructor and person. Can not stay in a bad mood around her.
