Patience is a virtue, so is dancing with your partner.  If you want to create a dancing partner it is a process. It takes kindness, sweetness of tone and lots of patience.....it's not easy but it is simple......just keep reading

10 Steps to a Dancing Mate

10 Steps to get your Mate Dancing -Educate Your Mate

Don't wait - you've waited long enough. If this is the one, do yourself a favor and start this process! (If this isn't the one,  move on and find one who's already trained!) Hint: Stop! No whining if you want this to work! It is very important to elevate your mate through this entire procedure.

1. Orchestrate an evening where your mate witnesses a like couple enjoying a dancing encounter (we can help if necessary).
2. Do that again - 1 month later (what do you mean that long?! you've waited your entire life!) After you get home,  fantasize out loud about how nice it would be to enjoy that encounter together...be sure to call it an encounter!
3. With enthusiasm in your voice during a drive or out for dinner tell your mate how your friend is dancing with their mate and how much they are loving the time together. Don't say anything else! Hint: Try to avoid any cynicism or criticism in your tone!
4. 'Get caught' dancing in the living room with seductive attire! By yourself,  all smiles and giggles and when you get caught quietly  cease and resume normal behavior as if you removed your hand from the cookie jar.
5. Refer to the dancing encounter as a non verbal means of communication - a way to express  yourself (a raised eyebrow and wink wouldn't hurt, maybe even a thrown kiss across the room)
6. Repeat No 1 again. ( I know this is taking a lot  of time and patience....... no worries it will make you a better dancer aka follower!)
 7. Rent a dancing movie. Watch it alone - not a word uttered,  and when the movie ends slip into the arms of your mate and demonstrate the romantic mood that has overcome you.
 8. Time to show a little admiration of a mutual friend that dances. Ideally  find yourself at an event where both of you witness a dancer 'gettin' down' or a couple 'in love' ...."Wow - I would love to do that...don't they look great!  The thought of dancing with you makes me so happy." (Make sure to include the words 'with you' or it will back fire)
 9. Plant a seed - I would love to dance on our anniversary/birthday/mother's day/groundhog day/etc and just smile, sincerely and with grace.
10. Water the seed! As soon as the opportunity arises, suggest a date night.  You will know when.  Be nice, be gracious and this will happen for you.
Your mate has no idea how truly happy this will make you, your job is to educate your mate!
